GLISSANDO
installed in a ruins of a grain silo at the Buffalo River Works Venue. Glissando fits with in the geometry of the old grain funnel. The form graduates from large to small hanging elements to reference the falling of grain through this funnel. Mean while the name Glissando is reference to a musical gesture of sliding the fingers from the large to small strings of a harp. Built for the Buffalo Music Is Art festival, it is a visual representation of playful sounds and music. The colors are bright and playful which at night are illuminated with a black light for the late night music crowds.
